Overall function of the work unit:
This position exists to manage the day-to-day operations and service delivery for Pueblo Regional Center, licensed as a Home and Community Based Medicaid Waiver setting for those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, that provides 24/7 direct care for approximately 63 residents in 10 homes and has approximately 190 FTE. PRC's primary goal is to provide necessary short-term support and services to stabilize residents in order to transition back into the community. This work unit's duties include: analyzing and developing policies to ensure the health and safety of residents and staff, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, legislative and fiscal impact statements; developing budget requests; tracking program expenditures; and ensuring a trained and quality work force.

Summary of the position:
This position is to support the mission of providing effective and consistent short-term stabilization treatment to individuals with IDD. The Regional Centers require more support in day-to-day programming and operations. This support will ensure individuals are able to receive the treatment necessary to transition back their community. The position will create and maintain a high standard of care across the Regional Center system, while ensuring all programs meet or exceed compliance with rules and regulations. The position will lead the PRC Management team and reports directly to the division director.
Exercises appointing authority responsibilities, with direct and indirect supervision over 190 FTE in the areas of staff hiring, performance planning, performance evaluation, corrective and disciplinary action, and is the representative for all agency decisions.
