Alliance's Medicaid Matters Campaign: Ideas for Advocacy!

 

• Fill out ANCOR’s Action Alert every day! This is the easiest way to advocate.

• Reach out to your congressional representatives. Tell them about HCBS (Home and Community-Based Services) and the IDD community! You can find your US Representative and Senator HERE.

  • Offer to meet at their in-district office. 

  • Give them a tour of your agency.

  • Attend town hall meetings. 

  • Make phone calls. 

  • Follow them on social media. 

  • Visit congressional websites where you can send messages.

• Tell your story. Let your friends, family, and elected officials know why Medicaid matters to you. 

  • You can also send stories to Alliance at info@alliancecolorado.org or submit them on ANCOR’s form and we can share them on social media and with Congress. 

  • Use social media to tell your story! You can also use hashtags like #MedicaidMatters and #SaveMedicaid or #COIDD to reach more people. Consider tagging your US Reps/Senators!
