About Ascendigo: Ascendigo is a nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of children and adults living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) through outdoor/sports education, employment, adventure camps, community integration and an array of behavioral health services. We are headquartered in the heart of the Roaring Fork Valley (Carbondale, CO) and provide programming toover 200 individuals with autism of all ages from Aspen to Rifle. Currently, Ascendigo employs approximately 55 full- and part-time staff members with an additional 60-65 seasonal employees during the summer (June-August). In 2019, Ascendigo celebrated its 15th anniversary as one of the premier nonprofits in the Aspen community and was named “Nonprofit of the Year” by the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce.

The Quality Assurance Manager is detail-oriented to ensure Ascendigo programs run well and meet or exceed both internal and external policies and regulations. The successful QA Manager understands the client's needs and the respective requirements well enough to coordinate staff efforts and communications between management and the various teams. Responsibilities will include performing some business administration, risk management and human resource duties.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensures that Ascendigo programs meet or exceed regulatory compliance standards (Medicaid waivers, Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, 3rd party insurance providers, etc.), Ascendigo standards, policies and procedures and industry best practice standards.

  • Maintain a culture and process of continuous improvement of Ascendigo processes and procedures to ensure the highest-quality service.

  • Conduct quality assurance and operational reviews, generate reports, and identify desirable corrective and preventative actions.

  • Create and distribute schedule for quality assurance checks and full audits to ensure assessments are completed on a consistent and timely basis.

  • Maintain current knowledge of program regulatory and company requirements to ensure accurate quality assurance review.

  • Conduct program quality assessment audits and establish and maintain corrective action plans and follow-up to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

  • Oversight of all regulatory compliance, including documentation management, leading the audit process, and management of the communication portals. Compliance includes but is not limited to medical care; diet; vehicle, house and personal safety; human rights; staff trainings and certifications and more.

  • Monitor program fidelity, including client notes and data collection, compliance with Ascendigo standards, policies and procedures and state/federal regulations, including oversight of General Event Reports (GER).

  • Solicit program quality feedback from clients/families, partners and other applicable resources and incorporate into the continuous improvement process.

  • Periodically observe direct support and other staff members and providing guidance.

  • Be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis as applicable.

  • Draft monthly program reports for boards and board committees and provide general support as requested.
